We think that the world is a complex place. We think that the people in it are complex, but in the truth they are actually strange sometimes
The Little Price is a wonderful, yet a simple worded book for children to understand the so called complex emotions in the world. I picked it up thinking it is a book for the young minds, but after reading it feels like it is for everyone who thinks life is mundane and boring. I understand some might find it a bit cliche on the things the author tries to convey. Yes, I agree with that. We can't always assume the life to be happy and positive and everything will go well, but I feel like with everything we know, sometimes we underestimate the power of the small things that we miss in life to achieve the bigger things. Everyone says 'Aim higher and bigger', but not many says 'Aim higher and bigger for what you want; what will really make you happy'. I guess that's what the book wants us to know about this book.
Men have no more time to understand anything. They buy ready-made things in the shop. But since there are no shops where you can buy friends, men no longer have friends
This book is mainly for children who is in the verge of stepping into the adulthood. I'm sure this will like a small reminder for them to look around, enjoy the world and people in it and go about their lives with an open mind. Also, it doesn't hurt for the adults to read it once or even read it at regular intervals (it's a small book, can be easily read in an hour or two) just to keep us moving.
P.S.: I would suggest everyone who picks this book to go with an open mind without any prejudices or expectations about anything.
